Gülden İlkman was born on November 10, 1971 in Nicosia. She graduated from 20 Temmuz High School. She earned Bsc degree in Business Management from Southestaren University. Subsequently, she attended a diploma course at Huron University in International Management on half scholarship. She earned MBA degree in International Managemet from Souteastern University in 1995 and she also worked as research assistant at London School of Economics in the same year.
She worked at Foreign Ministery and Defence as Public Relations Officer from 1996-2002. In 2002, she was promoted to The Parliamentary Assembly of the TRNC (Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) as International Relations Officer. She became the Chief of the International Relations Department in 2011.
Gülden İlkman acted as the Secretary of Parliamentary official delegations for the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Islamic Organization Conference (OIC) and Inter Parlimantary Union. She joined the official meetings that took place in America, Asia, Europe, Africa and Middle East. She consulted parliamentay delegations in foreign relations and political affairs.
Gülden İlkman speaks fluent English and has two children.
