Evaluating the first six months of the 1. Family Workshop action plan
A workshop has been held under the auspices of the Presidency and leadership of First Lady Sibel Tatar of the first six month performance report of the 1. Family Workshop action plan, held with the cooperation of the Social Support Committee of the Presidency, Minister of Labour and Social Security and eastern Mediterranean University.
Held at the Presidency, the workshop was attended by Presidential Social Services and Social Policy Advisor Aydan Başkurt, faculty member of Eastern Mediterranean University Prof. Dr. Sibel Dinçyürek, Alev Ecevit and Melahat Işınsu from the Social Services Department, Hilmi Balkan from the Ministry of Interior, Funda Öngen from the Prime Ministry State Planning Organisation, Süreyya Gürdal and Gökçe Çakartaş from Ministry of National Education, Ceylan Özyıldız and Tuğçe Kavuncuoğlu from the Ministry of Tourism and Culture.
First Lady Sibel Tatar, who delivered an address at the opening, underlined the benefits of having a workshop dedicated to family matters – which she said has been held for the first time in the TRNC. Stating that the Presidency will be following the work of the workshop and the implementation of the action plan closely, Mrs. Tatar said the Presidency will give support to the relevent institutions and organisations to bring to fruition the stated goals contained within the action plan.
Sibel Tatar expressed her gratitude to the representatives of the institutions and to the Presidential advisors for their efforts.
Representatives of the institutions thanked Mrs. Tatar for her support to the workshop and the overall project.
