First Lady Sibel Tatar participates in the "Bridge of Goodness" event on women and children in İstanbul
First Lady Sibel Tatar has participated in the "Bridge of Goodness" event on women and children at Liv Hospital in İstanbul, on the invitation of the Association for the Fight against Hunger and Education (TAMEV).
The meeting was attended by TRNC Consul General Fatma Demirel, AK Party 24th Term Deputy Türkan Dağoğlu, 24th Term İstanbul Deputy Belma Satır, TAMEV Association President Nuray Marçak, Liv Hospital Ulus General Manager Dr. Fatih Akpınar and Liv Hospital Vadi İstanbul General Manager Dr. Akif Benk and representatives of civil society organisations.
Speaking during the meeting, First Lady Sibel Tatar extended the greetings of the TRNC, and emphasised that "kindness and solidarity are important in building bridges between different societies," adding that "it is vital that such activities are expanded in order to expand the kindness movement, and to contribute to the social development of women and children".
There were also an exchange of views with regards to helping women and children, where it was decided that TAMEV will provide education scholarships for five young Turkish Cypriots to study in İstanbul, as well as contribute towards their needs.
