Mega projects coming to life

In his address at the ceremony, President Ersin Tatar stated that integration with the Organisation of Turkic States is gradually obtained and that efforts are continuing to reach the full potential in the TRNC.
President Tatar drew attention to the importance of implementing the projects following the political agreement and economic cooperation protocols signed between the Republic of Türkiye and TRNC.
Stating that when the Water Supply Project from Türkiye was put forward, there were criticisms about the cost of the project and its difficulty in realising it, President Tatar reminded that the project was launched upon the instructions of then Prime Minister of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the project came to life in 2015.
President Tatar further referred to the proposal Turkish Cypriot side has made on sharing electricity and the usage of water coming via cable with the Greek Cypriot Administration.
President Tatar also emphasised the importance of examining the structure of soil and the usage of water efficiently within the project.
Turkish Cypriots have adopted farming, animal husbandry and agriculture in every period throughout history, the President said.
President Tatar noted that mega projects that will change the face of TRNC and increase its brand value have started to come to life.
