President Ersin Tatar and First Lady Sibel Tatar hosted a reception in commemoration of July 20 Peace and Freedom Day.
President Tatar and the First Lady Sibel Tatar welcomed the arriving guests at the entrance to the reception, which was held at the Concorde Tower Hotel in Lefkoşa.
In attendance were Speaker of the Parliamentary Assembly Zorlu Töre, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, Chief Justice Narin Ferdi Şefik, Second President Mehmet Ali Talat, Third President Derviş Eroğlu, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Lefkoşa Metin Feyzioğlu, Security Forces Commander Major General Zorlu Topaloğlu, ministers, parliamentarians, military officials, representatives of civil organisations and members of the public.
The President also met with Turkish Air Force pilots of Solotürk and members of the aerobatic display team, and members of the Naval Academy who visited the TRNC to take part in the celebrations of the 49th anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation.
The Presidential Symphony Orchestra gave a concert together with the artists of the State Opera and Ballet Coordination Centre.
