President Ersin Tatar attended the European University of Lefke (EUL) 2021-2022 academic year graduation ceremony, which was held at the 16 Ağustos Kurtuluş Stadium.
President Tatar, addressing the graduation ceremony, paid tribute to the dedication and hard work of students and staff alike, ending with the graduation of the students.
Refering to the ongoing works on the Güzelyurt-Lefke road, the President added that “there are plans to open this very important new road on July 20”. President Tatar emphasised that this road will be beneficial to Lefke and thanked everyone who took part and contributed to all the efforts.
Underlining that important decisions had been taken with regards to the future of EUL during his term as the Minister of Finance together with Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu 12 years ago, the President stated that the TRNC is continuing on the path of becoming a country renowned for being a university island.
President Tatar stated that EUL continues to progress towards becoming a world class university despite the pandemic and other difficulties, and congratulated the rector and his accompanying team for achieving these successes.
Emphasising that besides education, students have the chance to share cultural wealth in an environment where students from more than 40 countries are present, President Tatar stated that he appreciated the efforts made by EUL in the drive to becoming a world class university.
