President Ersin Tatar attended the 65th Establishment Gala Dinner of the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce (KTTO).
In his address at the dinner, President Ersin Tatar commemorated the people who contributed for the economic development of the Turkish Cypriots.
President Tatar thanked the President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye, Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, for providing support to the Turkish Cypriots and working on building new opportunities in the international meetings he attends on behalf of the Republic of Türkiye.
On the 40th anniversary of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, pointing out that there has been great development in the tourism, higher education, industry, agriculture and construction sectors, President Tatar emphasised that the Greek Cypriot administration spends non-political efforts to prevent these developments.
President Tatar said, "We will overcome obstacles through our continued struggle," and thanked business people for all their efforts and achievements.
Expressing that the success is revealed in the numbers, President Tatar noted that the pandemic period, in which the economy was negatively affected, has past with the support of Türkiye and the figures have reached the numbers before the pandemic.
Pointing out that the economy in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will develop and the country will continue to develop with new investments, President Tatar expressed his belief that Turkish Cypriot people will achieve even a more prosperous future.
President Tatar congratulated KTTO President Turgay Deniz and the board of directors and wished continued success in the 65th year of the chamber.
