President Ersin Tatar attends the 8th Traditional Dağaşanlar (Vretsia) Solidarity Day event
President Ersin Tatar attended the 8th Traditional Dağaşanlar (Vretsia) Solidarity Day event, which is annually organised by the Vretsia People's Solidarity Association in order to remember the migration of Vretsia people to the north in September 1974.

Delivering a speech at the event which took place in the Minareliköy Family Garden, President Tatar expressed his pleasure for participating in the event and congratulated those who contributed to the organization of the event.
Noting that he often comes together with people of Vretsia, the President highlighted the importance of remembering the old times and appreciating the period after 1974. Whilst remembering the memories before 1974 and the village of Vretsia, we will never forget the pain the Turkish Cypriot people encountered during those years, the President said. Stating that the Turkish Cypriot people achieved peace and prosperity after 1974, President Tatar expressed his hope that our government will successfully carry out reforms and that the TRNC will reach better days after the pandemic and the crisis. The President attached great importance to the works carried out in cooperation with the Motherland Türkiye for the future of the TRNC. President Tatar also indicated the significance of the endeavours carried out for the development of the Değirmenlik region.
