President Ersin Tatar attends the burial ceremony of martyr Eşref Salih:

"The missing martyr is found after 60 years and as the officials of the state, we have fulfilled our responsibility"

President Ersin Tatar attended the  ceremony where the body of martyr Eşref Salih, one of missing persons who was found and identified during the excavation of the Truilli village of Larnaca by Missing Persons Committee, was buried with a military ceremony in the martyrdom in the Tuzla Cemetery.
 
After the funeral prayer, the Turkish and TRNC flags, draped around Martyr Eşref Salih's coffin, were handed over to his relative by President Ersin Tatar.
 
In his speech at the ceremony, President Ersin Tatar pointed out that it is a state ceremony and it is our last responsibility for Eşref Salih, who was martyred 60 years ago.
President Tatar said “60 years have passed, he is still in our hearts. He was martyred for sake of this territory. He is an innocent person who was martyred during the brutal attacks of the Greek Cypriot -Greek atrocities on the Turkish Cypriot people to annex Cyprus to Greece."
 
President Tatar said, “The state has fulfilled its responsibility. Although, the process took 60 years, the missing person has been found”.

The President said, “Today, we owe the TRNC, the independent Turkish state, our freedom, our peace here to the martyrs. May his soul rest in peace”.
