President Ersin Tatar congratulates President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan
President Ersin Tatar has congratulated President of the Republic of Türkiye and Justice and Development Party (AKP) leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who won the majority of votes in the general election for the 28th Parliamentary term in the Republic of Türkiye.
The President congratulated President Erdoğan and the People’s Alliance (Cumhur İttifakı) which, according to election results, won the majority of seats in the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
President Tatar, who conveyed a written message to President Erdoğan, also commended the Turkish nation for the maturity shown during the democratic process and for the very high turnout of registered voters in the elections held yesterday.
In his message, President Tatar emphasised the “unwavering unity” of the Turkish Cypriot People and the Republic of Türkiye, and he expressed his wish to “deepen the cooperation and solidarity between the two countries across all fields”.
