President Ersin Tatar has met with Rosemary DiCarlo, UN Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum being held at the Nest Convention Centre in Belek – where they followed-up on the informal meeting on Cyprus in a broader format that was convened by the UN Secretary-General in Geneva last month.
President Tatar put forward his position with regard to the topics that were agreed at the informal meeting on the opening of four crossing points, demining, creation of a technical committee on youth, the environment and climate change, solar energy in the buffer zone and restoration of cemeteries.
The meeting was also attended by Güneş Onar, Special Representative of the President, Legal Advisor Sülen Karabacak, Confidence building Measures and Technical Committees Coordinator Seniha Birand Çınar, International Relations and Diplomacy Special Advisor Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Işıksal, Foreign Press Officer Kerem Haser and Youth Advisor Mustafa Fırat.
