President Ersin Tatar meets with Cevdet Yılmaz, Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye

President Ersin Tatar has met with Cevdet Yılmaz, the Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye, within the framework of his meetings at the Informal Summit of the Heads of State of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS), that is being held in Shusha, Azerbaijan.
Following the tete-a-tete meeting, President Tatar stated that the TRNC had been admitted as an observer member to the Organisation of Turkic States in November 2022, adding: "It is important for the TRNC to be represented at OTS summits and to further cooperation across different levels with our country. We discussed different issues with Vice President Yılmaz today, ranging from the Cyprus issue to the position of the TRNC in the OTS and economic cooperation issues."
Stating that he attaches great importance to economic issues, the President underlined the importance of the economic cooperation protocol between the TRNC and the Republic of Türkiye.
President Tatar stated that cooperation is key to contributing to the development of the TRNC economy, and pointed out that the policies implemented by the Republic of Türkiye to reduce inflation will "support the economic relief of the TRNC and increase the welfare of the people".
