President Ersin Tatar participated in a workshop titled: “The Young Power of the Turkic World: One Nation, Three States Vision” that was organised by the National Unity Party (UBP), Justice and Development Party (AKP) and the New Azerbaijan Party.

workshop, which brought together young minds from Türkiye, Azerbaijan and TRNC, was held at the Acapulco Hotel and Resort on Tuesday.
Following the presentation of the promotional video covering the preparation and signing stages of the "One Nation, Three States" protocol, President Ersin Tatar delivered the opening speech of the workshop, expressing his gratitude to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and President İlham Aliyev for their support to the Turkish Cypriot people.
President Tatar stressed that the sovereign rights of the Turkish Cypriot people “lie at the heart of the struggle that is being fought at every stage”, adding that “in international meetings, there are always emphasis that Turkish Cypriot people are an essential actor”.
President Ersin Tatar recalled that the Turkish Cypriot people, who were sovereign equal partners in the establishment of the Republic of Cyprus partnership, were excluded by force of arms from the partnership, and that a new era began after the Peace Operation carried out on July 20, 1974.
"Whilst we continue our existence on this island with our honour, Motherland Republic of Türkiye has always been by our side, and her presence is a great strength and hope for us. Now, here again in this historic meeting, I congratulate with all my heart the UBP, the New Azerbaijan Party and the AK Party,” President Tatar said.
President Tatar emphasised that the Turkish Cypriots have always followed the footsteps of Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Türkiye, emphasising that efforts are ongoing for further development of the TRNC.
President Ersin Tatar said: "There is tourism, agriculture and industry here, but with the current technological developments too, all of these give us hope that we can become an island of information technology and a centre of attraction. In order to achieve all these, it is extremely important for our youth to keep up with all these innovations and build the future here accordingly." President Tatar also expressed his belief that political and economic cooperation will also be strengthened “through the One Nation, Three States motto”.
