President Ersin Tatar pays visit to the Municipality of Girne

President Ersin Tatar has paid a visit to the Municipality of Girne and met with the Mayor of Girne, Murat Şenkul.
Discussions were held on the issues facing Girne, including population, traffic congestion, construction, taxes and zoning plans.
Speaking during the meeting on Thursday, President Tatar stated that there is significant economic development in Girne – a tourism hotspot of the TRNC, which is also home to different university campuses. The President stated that there has been an increase in different forms of investments and business areas in Girne in parallel to the population increase.
Stating that he is following the regulations being passed by the municipality, President Tatar drew attention to the “importance of the work to be carried out in developing the ring road located on the eastern side of Girne, that will resolve traffic congestion problems”.
Welcoming the President to the municipality headquarters, Girne Mayor Murat Şenkul spoke about his vision, plans and projects of the municipality.
President Ersin Tatar was accompanied by Presidential Administrative Department Director Osman Çağakan during his visit.
