President Ersin Tatar receives Anadolu Agency's newly appointed Lefkoşa representative Mehmet Kemal Firik and former Nicosia representative Muhammet İkbal Arslan

President Ersin Tatar received Mehmet Kemal Firik, the newly appointed Lefkoşa representative of Anadolu Agency (AA) and the former representative Muhammet İkbal Arslan, who has been assigned to serve in Geneva, Switzerland.
President Tatar commended Mr Arslan for his “very successful news reporting during his three-and-a-half years’ service in the TRNC”, adding: “Mr Arslan has gained the love and respect of the Turkish Cypriot People. . .he has written very important news stories which have been the voice of the TRNC to the rest of the world. I thank him for his service in the TRNC and wish him success in his future.”
In return, Mr Arslan said that the TRNC has a special place in his heart, where one of his children was born, and where he continued to develop more attributes and experience in his journalistic career.
President Tatar wished the newly appointed AA Lefkoşa representative Mehmet Kemal Firik success in his new position and emphasised the importance of the Cyprus national cause and the struggle of the Turkish Cypriot People. He expressed that Anadolu Agency fulfilled an important mission in conveying the Cyprus cause to the Republic of Türkiye and to the rest of the world.
