President Ersin Tatar receives Judo Karate and Aikido Federation president Grand Master Eyüp Zafer Gökbilen and his accompanying delegation
“As the state, we support our athletes and we will continue to do so”
In his speech during the meeting, President Ersin Tatar expressed that the achievements of the athletes are pleasing and added that Federation officials and coaches always support young people and encourage them to do sports.
“Despite the embargoes imposed on our country, our athletes achieve very important successes," the President said. "As the State, we support our athletes and we will continue to do so. The federation's voluntary work is also applaudable," he said. The President noted that the support and encouragement given by the families to their children and their trust in the federation officials are also very important.
Emphasising that the successes of our athletes in the international arena is also important for the recognition of the TRNC, President Tatar thanked the athletes' families, coaches and federation officials.
