President Ersin Tatar receives members of the TRNC Presidential Symphony Orchestra

President Ersin Tatar received the TRNC Presidential Symphony Orchestra Coordinator Mustafa Kofalı, Conductor of the Orchestra Ali Hoca and former Concertmaster of the Orchestra Nihat Ağdaç, who has been admitted to the BBC Symphony Orchestra in London.
President Tatar underlined that continuous support on arts and artists was among important responsibilities of the TRNC Presidency. The President expressed his belief that arts will continue to make contribution in developing intellectual and cultural identity as well as strengthening spiritual values of our society, and indicated the important role of art in improving critical thinking and teaching to own different view points on issues and humanity.
“I support all the success in different art fields as the President with the awareness of the educational and liberating power of art,” the President said. “I will continue to support arts and artists just as I did in the past”.
President Tatar congratulated former concertmaster of the TRNC PSO Nihat Ağdaç on his admission to the BBC Symphony Orchestra and wished him luck and success.
Commending TRNC PSO artists on their successes and their international achievements in performing together with worldwide artists, the President said that he will continue to support arts and artists.
President Tatar added that the success of artists, who have grown out of the civilised Turkish Cypriot people, does not only bear meaning in terms of service for our people but also for the whole of humanity.
