President Ersin Tatar, who was briefed about the successes of the NEU Drift racing team that competed in the season finale of the Drift Masters European Championship held in Poland, said he was “very honoured and proud” when he saw Mr Haskasap racing with the TRNC flag.
“I commend you all for this outstanding success and performance you showed at the Drift Masters European Championship,” the President said. “You have shown to the world that we exist as the TRNC through your hard work and determination to succeed at international platforms and you are a real inspiration to our youth,” he added.
President Tatar said that overcoming international obstacles requires the self-belief and confidence to overcome all obstacles. The President added: "The success you have achieved is extremely important for us in displaying our flag there and making our presence known to the world once again," and he stressed that this outstanding success made a significant contribution to the struggle of the TRNC.
