President Ersin Tatar received Selçuk Bayraktar, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Türkiye Technology Team (T3 Foundation).

In his speech at the reception, President Ersin Tatar said that the work carried out by T3 Foundation Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Selçuk Bayraktar, on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Unarmed Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in the defence industry, was closely followed and supported in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
President Tatar expressed his pleasure to see Bayraktar, who is in our country to attend the opening of Bilim Lefkoşa and give a conference at Eastern Mediterranean University.
Pointing out that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has made great progress in its own struggle, President Tatar stated that in recent years, the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has made statements on various platforms for the recognition of the TRNC and enabled it to become an observer member of the Organization of Turkic States.
President Tatar stated that Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan started giving directives for investments to strengthen the TRNC while he was the prime minister before becoming President.
After bringing water from Türkiye, efforts are continuing to bring electricity via cable President Tatar said. He stated that it is a big project that will solve the energy problem of the entire Cyprus.
President Tatar noted that Southern Cyprus wants to join in the interconnected system via Greece, but they suggested that the electricity coming from Türkiye can be shared because it is cheaper and safer.
Explaining that their goal is to strengthen the structure in the country and offer a prosperous future to the people, President Tatar emphasised that it was a successful period despite the effects of the pandemic, the Ukraine-Russia War, the February 6 Earthquake and the economic crisis.
Pointing out the importance of the youth of the country, as well as the youth of Türkiye, being able to benefit from science and technology, President Tatar pointed out that scientists can be trained in the country thanks to Bilim Lefkoşa, which opened today.
Wishing Bayraktar success in his work, President Tatar noted that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will also become stronger, thanks to the Leader of the Turkish World; Türkiye, which has become stronger in the new century of the Republic.
