President Ersin Tatar speaks at the opening of BilimFest Kıbrıs (Science Fest Cyprus): “Science and technology will pave the way for our youth to bring TRNC to the place it deserves”

President Ersin Tatar stated that following the admission of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to the Organisation of Turkic States as an observer member, various events are taking place to bring together the youth in order to develop and improve ties with Turkic states.
Speaking at the Science Fest Cyprus organised by Haydar Aliyev International Culture Centre and Azerbaijan-Cyprus Friendship Association and in cooperation with Bilim Türkiye, President Tatar pointed out that the youth festival was organised in memory of Azerbaijan leader Haydar Aliyev and on the occasion of 100th year of the Republic of Türkiye and drew attention to the important achievements in the areas of science, industry and technology during the Century of Türkiye. In the age of communication it is important to share the achievements attained, the President noted.
President Tatar highlighted the out-dated implementations with regards to the isolations and restrictions imposed on TRNC and the significance of building relations with Organisation of Turkic States and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation in terms of smoothing the way for the youth.
Through education, science and technology, our youth will pave the way for TRNC to reach to the place it deserves, the President underlined.
“In the age of communication, people are now closer to each other and by the advent of artificial intelligence the future will have more technologic structure for the youth. Therefore we need to invest in our youth so as to pass the tests for future developments,” President Tatar said.
Expressing his thanks to those who organised and contributed in the event, President Tatar said “future is of our children and young people. I salute our friends from Azerbaijan and welcome the support of Türkiye”.
