YOUTH PRESENT KNEE BRACE MOTIF
The youth presented a Male Knee Brace Pattern from the miniature "Cyprus Folk Clothes" series as a gift to President Tatar, where they explained that the motif was the work of the Doruk Foundation, and also gave information about the knee pads.
Explaining the purpose of the knee brace, the President was told that it was worn as part of a "formal" dress code in the past, that these knee braces were blue and with single embroidery, as well as the knee braces that were worn daily, while working and were black in colour. It was also stated that these were also worn daily and also as groom suits. Information was also given that the white knee pads worn in Turkey have a place in Turkish Cypriot culture and history.
