President Tatar holds telephone conversation with Turkish President Erdoğan
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and TRNC President Ersin Tatar held a telephone conversation in the evening, where they commemorated the Islamic holy night of Regaip Kandili – commemorating the conception of the Prophet Muhammad and the start of the three-month countdown to the holy month of Ramadan.
The Cyprus issue was also discussed during the telephone conversation as well as the Covid-19 pandemic and the issues relating to vaccinations.
President Erdoğan stated that the Turkish Cypriot people were not alone in their fight against Covid-19, adding that Turkey will continue its solidarity and support.
President Tatar, thanking Mr Erdoğan for his support, said that the close and productive relationship between TRNC and Turkey will continue and expressed his good wishes on behalf of the Turkish Cypriot people.
