President Tatar issues a commemorative message for the martyrs of Azerbaijan’s struggle for independence
President Ersin Tatar issued a commemorative message for those who became martyrs on January 20, 1990, which is the turning point of Azerbaijan’s struggle for independence.
“As the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, on behalf of myself and my people, I wish God’s mercy on the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the independence of Azerbaijan on 20th January 1990.
The martyrs of Azerbaijan on January 20, 1990, lost their lives for the sake of independence and paved the way for today's victory. We remember them with love, respect and gratitude.”
