President Tatar visits Ankara
Upon the invitation of President of Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President Ersin Tatar is making his first official foreign visit to motherland Turkey today.
Accompanied by his wife Sibel Tatar, President Tatar departed for Ankara today at 12.00 by private plane from the Ercan Airport. Turkish Ambassador to Nicosia, Ali Murat Başçeri also travelled to Ankara together with President Tatar.
President Tatar was sent off with a military ceremony by the Speaker of the Assembly Teberrüken Uluçay, ministers, military officials and other officials.
PROGRAMME IN ANKARA
President Ersin Tatar will visit and present a wreath at the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk at 13.30 in Ankara (local time 14.30).
President Ersin Tatar will be welcomed by Recep Tayyip Erdoğan with the Official Welcome Ceremony at 16.00 at the Presidential Complex.
The President will meet with President Erdoğan, at 16.15 (local time 17.15) and then a joint press conference is scheduled at 17.15 (local time 18.15 ).
After the press conference, President Ersin Tatar will come together with President Erdoğan at a formal dinner at 18.00 (local time 19.00).
President Tatar is expected to return to the country tomorrow after completing his contacts.
