“The heroic sons of the Great Turkish Nation, our beloved martyrs,
I am very honored to be in your spiritual presence today on the occasion of my first visit to the brother country Azerbaijan as the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
The heroic epic you wrote in 1918 and the victory you won in the battles that ended with the liberation of Baku are eternally written in golden letters in the pages of history. You have attained the highest rank by becoming a martyr for the independence of our Turkish brothers of Azerbaijan and the protection of their homeland. Turkish people from all over the world and in particular the people of Azerbaijan will forever remember you with gratitude, as our beloved martyrs who waged an epic struggle with determination to carry, which you waged with honour, duty and bravery.
The heroism and sacrifice you showed is the most concrete indicator of our brotherhood and unity with Azerbaijan. Your sacrifices inspire us with the belief that we are "one nation, three states". We will continue with our efforts to further develop and strengthen the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus-Azerbaijan friendship and solidarity in every field.
I commemorate with mercy and gratitude our heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the homeland and all the martyrs in every corner of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. May all our martyrs rest in eternal peace."
