“The Painter of the Year” award presented to Mert Yalın by President Tatar
“The Painter of the Year” of the 6th Art Without Disabilities Awards prize has been presented to artist Mert Yalın by President Ersin Tatar.
Hosted by Nevşehir Municipality and organized by Turkish Union of Art without Disabilities and Yön Art Atelier, the award ceremony took place at the Office of the President and broadcasted live on Nevşehir Turkey television.
Congratulating Mert Yalın and his instructors, President Tatar indicated that the struggle of Mert Yalın was a communal one.
“These children are our children,” said the President. “We should use all our means to protect them and reintegrate them by bringing out their skills and abilities.”
Wishing continued success to Yalın, President Tatar also expressed his good wishes for all disabled children in Motherland Turkey.
Adding that such activities are important for the well-being of the TRNC, the President pointed out that such activities bring closer the peoples of the TRNC and Turkey.
