The President receives head of the Foundations (Waqfs) Administration’s Board of Directors Mustafa Gökmen and members of the board.
In his speech during the meeting, President Tatar said that the Foundations Administration represents an understanding that manages and evaluates goods and properties from the ancestors in order to hand over to future generations in the best way possible for the benefit of the people.
President Tatar stated that the Waqfs Administration has an archive from the past and that the validity of the title deeds related to Varosha can still be revealed in these archives.
Referring to the Immovable Property Commission, which is recognised internationally, the President stated that with regards to Varosha, they follow a policy that will not conflict with the world and international law and at the same time will not impair the rights of the Waqfs Administration.
The Head of the Waqfs Administration, Mustafa Gökmen expressed his support to President Tatar and wished him success in his duty.
