1st TRNC Presidency Earthquake Conference to be held
The 1st Presidency Earthquake Conference is being held under the auspices of the Presidency on 6 – 7 March 2025, at the Atatürk Cultural and Congress Centre of the Near East University in Lefkoşa.
The conference, which has been organised by the Presidential Earthquake Committee, will be held with the participation of academicians who are experts in their fields from the Republic of Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Issues such as the causes of earthquakes, seismology studies of the region and international examples, past and possible future earthquakes for the Island of Cyprus, and how scientists are benefiting from advanced technologies in the field to help them in forecasting the possibility of future earthquakes, will be among the topics to be taken up at the conference.
