First Lady Sibel Tatar took part in the Tamer Levent 50th Year Art Talk: “It is necessary to benefit from the experience of Tamer Levent, who has promoted the existence of Turkish Cypriots in every medium”

First Lady Sibel Tatar attended the Tamer Levent 50th Year Art Talk event and presented a plaque to Turkish actor, director, art director and writer Tamer Levent.

Mrs Tatar made a speech at the event which was held at the Alsancak Municipality Cultural Centre organised by İpek Denizli Art Workshop. She thanked Tamer Levent for his contributions to art with his experience in Turkey and the TRNC, and for his support in promoting the TRNC around the world.
 
 
 
 
 
“We want to contribute to the arts in the TRNC with opening of conservatories here”
 
 
 
Mrs Tatar expressed her satisfaction with Tamer Levent's contribution to the struggle in the arts, expressing that there must be efforts for the Turkish Cypriots to make their name heard in every medium.     She expressed her gratitude to the organisers of this event, İpek Denizli Art Workshop, Mayor of ALsancak Fırat Ataser and Başkent Lions management.
 
 
Pointing out that there is a “lack of conservatories in the TRNC”, Mrs Tatar called on the governments  and the Ministry of National Education, to take action on this important issue. The First Lady said: “We want to contribute to the enhancement of arts in the TRNC with opening of the  conservatories here."
