M. Ergün Olgun, Special Representative of President Ersin Tatar, met with Ambassador Anna Evstigneeva, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN
President's Special Representative M. Ergün Olgun emphasized that the resumption of a new negotiation process can only be possible with the confirmation of the sovereign equality and equal international status of the Turkish Cypriot people and informed the ambassador about the 6-cooperation proposal of the Turkish Cypriot side - conveyed to the Greek Cypriot side through the UN Secretary General-, which will contribute to our fragile region, the Island of Cyprus and both sides.
During the meeting, besides the Cyprus issue, regional developments and the improvement of bilateral relations were also discussed.
Bilateral Technical Committees Coordinator Güneş Onar, Special Advisor Osman Ertuğ and 3rd Secretary Denil Ertuğ Akın from the TRNC Washington Representation were present at the meeting.
