President Ersin Tatar expresses his gratitude to İlham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan
President Ersin Tatar has issued a written statement expressing his gratitude to İlham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, following the statement by Mr. Aliyev that the flag of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will be hoisted at events in Azerbaijan.
President Aliyev made the statement at a press conference in Baku during the course of a meeting of the Organisation of Turkic States.
The written statement of President Tatar reads as follows:
“I wholeheartedly welcome the statement made by President İlham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, at the meeting of the Organisation of Turkic States held in Baku, that the flag of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will be flown at events to be held in Azerbaijan.
While the TRNC, a Turkish state in the eastern Mediterranean, continues its existence with the understanding of one nation, three states, it is my greatest wish that our unity, shared values and our relations with Azerbaijan as an inseparable part of the same nation will continue to increase.
I express my deepest gratitude to President Aliyev for his statement. May the brotherhood and cooperation between our countries continue indefinitely and forever.”
