President Ersin Tatar issued a message on Mother’s Day
President Ersin Tatar’s on Mother’s Day is as follows:
“I would like to extend my love and respect to all our devoted mothers who are our first teachers in establishing faith, goodwill and love.
Our mothers, who undertake the most important task and role in raising new generations with virtues and teaching how to live together in solidarity with love and respect to the country, also have played a very significant role in the historical phase of Turkish Cypriots.
Mothers, manifesting great commitments and sacrifices during our years of national struggle for our communal existence and taking part in the frontlines of resistance during the hardship and captivity times, have laid to rest their children for the sake of the country when necessary.
Devoting their lives to raising honest individuals and creating an ethic society, our mothers deserve the ultimate love, respect and reverence.
I would like to congratulate all mothers, particularly mothers of our martyrs, on Mother’s Day and wish mercy upon our mothers who lost their lives.”
