President Tatar, who is paying an official visit to Azerbaijan to participate in the 12th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS), expressed his pleasure at once again meeting President Aliyev. He recalled with appreciation their previous meetings in Azerbaijan and during various international engagements, and reiterated his gratitude for the consistent support of Azerbaijan to the TRNC, particularly within the framework of the OTS.

Referring to his participation in the Informal Summit of OTS Heads of State held in Shusha, President Tatar commended the strong leadership and contributions of Azerbaijan toward strengthening unity and cooperation among Turkic nations. He also extended his congratulations to President Aliyev on the positive developments in the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, recently advanced through discussions in Washington, with the participation of the President of the United States.

President Aliyev, expressing appreciation for the kind sentiments of President Tatar, reaffirmed that Azerbaijan will continue to stand resolutely with the TRNC. Both leaders underscored the strategic importance of the Observer Membership of the TRNC in the OTS, noting that the Gabala Summit has further deepened cooperation and solidarity among Member States and Observers.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss ways to further enhance cooperation across various fields of mutual interest.

Following the meeting, President Tatar described the meeting as “highly constructive, warm, and sincere,” where "President Aliyev expressed his warm pleasure in welcoming me once again in Azerbaijan".

President Tatar noted that President Aliyev stated his great happiness in hosting the President of the TRNC at the 12th Summit of the Organisation of Turkic States in Gabala, which he said “underscores the spirit of brotherhood and unity that defines the Turkic world.”

Concluding his remarks, President Tatar stated: “President Aliyev stressed his support and warm welcome. . .stating that the TRNC, as a valued member of the Turkic family, has served as an Observer in the Organisation of Turkic States for the past three years. He further conveyed his particular pleasure that this historic development took place during my tenure, symbolising the ever-strengthening bonds among the Turkic nations.”
