President Ersin Tatar presides over the Council of Ministers meeting
President Ersin Tatar presided over the Council of Ministers meeting that was held today, January 17, where issues related to Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) were discussed.
The EMU Rector, Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç, also attended and made representations in the Council of Ministers meeting.
Making a brief evaluation of the meeting, President Tatar stated that the government is working on initiatives to address the problems EMU is facing.
Stating that EMU is one of the most important institutions of the TRNC, President Tatar said: “It is indeed important to protect the brand value of EMU, which is one of our important universities. I believe that the difficulties being experienced at the university can be overcome through planned initiatives and efforts, which is what have been discussed today.”
President Tatar thanked Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, ministers and EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç and his team, for showing sensitivity about the EMU issue.
