President Ersin Tatar received information regarding the investigation initiated on the Isias Hotel from Turkish Minister of Justice

“The necessary steps will be taken”

At the Council of Ministers meeting chaired by President Ersin Tatar, it was decided to carry out an investigation on the Isias Hotel, where 35 of our citizens lost their lives under the rubble caused by the earthquake in Türkiye. This request was submitted in writing to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, the General Directorate of Criminal Affairs of the Ministry of Justice, the Governorship of Adıyaman and the Adıyaman Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
This request was immediately processed by the authorities of the Republic of Türkiye. Adıyaman Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation on the matter and samples are taken from the wreckage of the hotel in question by experts. In his first statement regarding the issue, President Tatar had said, “I assure the families who lost their children and relatives that I will be a close follower of the investigation until the very end."
 
President Ersin Tatar, who called the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Türkiye Bekir Bozdağ, conveyed his condolences regarding the earthquake disaster and loss of lives, and received updates about the investigation initiated on the Isias Hotel.
Mentioning the great sorrow experienced in Türkiye and the TRNC, the President said the citizens of the TRNC and the Republic of Türkiye have lost their lives together in the wreckage of the Isias Hotel and this disaster will be dealt in unity, solidarity and solidarity. President Tatar also expressed his gratitude for the search and rescue activities carried out at the Isias Hotel and the investigation initiated. 
Minister of Justice of the Republic of Türkiye Bekir Bozdağ stated that "the investigation is ongoing and the necessary steps will be taken".
