President Ersin Tatar receives academicians on Cyprus issue
President Ersin Tatar held a meeting with a group of academicians as part of preparatory work for the five-plus-UN informal meeting, to be held in Geneva, Switzerland, between April 27-29.
The meeting, which was held at the Presidency yesterday, was also attended by members of the negotiating team. Discussions were held in relation to the vision for a settlement based on sovereign equality, equal international status and cooperative relationship.
Evaluations were also made as to how the academicians can contribute to this process.
Academicians who attended the meeting were Prof. Dr. Okan Veli Şafaklı, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Nesip Öğün, Asst. Prof. Dr. Emete Gözügüzelli and Prof. Dr. Muharrem Özdemir.
