President Ersin Tatar received AK Party MP from Konya Orhan Erdem and Mayor of Selçuklu Ahmet Pekyatırmacı and the accompanying delegation.
President Ersin Tatar expressed his gratitude to meet with the delegation in the TRNC and said that the ties with the Republic of Türkiye are getting stronger with the opportunities provided by the communication world.
Stating that as an inseparable part of the Turkish nation, they are spending efforts to strengthen the country while doing their utmost to fullfill the national responsibilities, President Tatar wished that mutual relations and contacts with the Republic of Türkiye would increasingly continue.
Referring to the importance of the activities for recognition of the TRNC and the continuation of the efforts to strengthen the country, President Tatar said, "The TRNC is a success story of the Turkish nation in the last 50 years."
Noting that Selçuklu Municipality signed the fraternity preliminary protocol with Kyrenia Municipality, AK Party Konya MP Orhan Erdem expressed his satisfaction for the strengthening of the relationship between the two countries.
Mayor of Selçuklu Ahmet Pekpastımcı also thanked President Ersin Tatar and stated that they support his policy to the very end.
