President Ersin Tatar receives Cyprus veterans from Şanlıurfa Viranşehir Veterans Association

President Ersin Tatar received the Cyprus veterans from Şanlıurfa Viranşehir Veterans Association on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the July 20 Cyprus Peace Operation.
In his speech during the meeting, President Tatar stated that our ties and cooperation with the Republic of Türkiye have improved at every level and in every field. The President said: “The Turkish Cypriot people, who are an inseparable part of the Great Turkish Nation, were born again after July 20, 1974 when they opened a new page having established their new independent State. As the TRNC, we continue on our way together with the Motherland Turkey, which is the only guarantee of our freedom and security.”
Emphasising the importance of the presence of Turkish soldiers on the island, President Tatar shared his feelings of gratitude with the Cyprus veterans, adding: "may all our martyrs and veterans who joined them all rest in eternal peace and may all the veterans still living have long, healthy and happy lives".
