President Ersin Tatar receives Erdinç İnçay, who came first in the athletics Men’s high jump age 12 category held in Türkiye

President Ersin Tatar received Erdinç İnçay, a student of Levent College, who came first in the athletics Men’s high jump age 12 category at the “Naili Moran Türkiye Athletics Championships” that was held in İzmir on July 18-19.

İnçay beat his opponents after high jumping 1.59m in the multi-branch athletics competition.

President Tatar and First Lady Sibel Tatar together met with the young Turkish Cypriot athlete and congratulated him for his “outstanding success and for representing the country with pride”.

President Tatar said: “We are very proud of you for your outstanding success which has no doubt come about through hard work and devotion, and the belief that you will overcome all obstacles.  I commend you for also representing and making your country very proud.”

Stating that Erdinç İnçay, who previously broke the TRNC record after high jumping at 1.53m in the Inter-Primary School Athletics tournament held in Diyarbakır, Türkiye last year, President Tatar said that İncay “has been training with great devotion and has developed himself well, and in doing so he has finished in first place at the athletics tournaments in Türkiye”.
