President Ersin Tatar receives Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (MÜSIAD) UK officials
President Ersin Tatar received the Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (MÜSİAD) UK Chairman Murat Bingöl and board member Dr. Belma Uysal.
The meeting, which was held at the TRNC Representative Office in London, was also attended by TRNC Representative to London Çimen Keskin and Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the UK, Koray Ertaş.
Issues relating to investment opportunities in the TRNC in the tourism and construction areas as well as investing in solar and wind energy aspects were discussed.
President Ersin Tatar stated that Motherland Türkiye, under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, was currently in the process of planning for an interconnection cable between Türkiye and TRNC -- as has been done for the 80km long undersea fresh water pipeline, that will significantly help address the power issues of the country. He added that the interconnection system will compliment solar and wind energy technology usage in the country in the future..
MÜSİAD UK Head Murat Bingöl stated that they had plans to visit the TRNC in autumn with a group of investors and said that they support the recognition of the TRNC.
President Tatar thanked the MÜSİAD officials for their words of support to the TRNC and the cause of the Turkish Cypriot People and said he looks forward to their planned visit to the country.
