President Ersin Tatar speaks with Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the telephone
President Ersin Tatar has congratulated Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on his 65th birthday during a telephone call, expressing his good wishes.
During the telephone call, President Erdoğan said that as in all matters, the Republic of Turkey will continue to act in solidarity with the TRNC including in the field of health and in particular the struggle against the Covid-19 pandemic and providing vaccine dosages.
President Ersin Tatar, referring to the recent statement of the Spokesman of the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres where he announced that the five-plus-UN informal meeting will be held in Geneva on April 27 to 29, said that the preparations are continuing. President Erdoğan stated that they endorsed and fully supported the vision being put forward on sovereign equality on the basis of two States and equal international status, adding that the full unanimity on the matter between the Republic of Turkey and the TRNC strengthened our position and stated that the unity of Turkish Cypriot people in this process is important.
