President Ersin Tatar thanks President of Azerbaijan İlham Aliyev for supporting the TRNC to become a full member of Organization of Turkic States (OTS)
President Ersin Tatar extended his thanks to President of Azerbaijan İlham Aliyev for supporting the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to become a full member of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
Azerbaijan President Aliyev said "As Azerbaijan, we support TRNC becoming a full member of the Organization of Turkic States. This is very natural because historically, TRNC is part of the Turkish world. The Turks living there are our brothers."
President Tatar emphasised that the statement by Aliyev was of great importance and value for Turkish Cypriot people.
"Mr. Aliyev expressed the fact that the TRNC, Turkish state in the Eastern Mediterranean, is an integral part of the Turkish world in every field,” indicated President Tatar, thanking Aliyev on behalf of the people of TRNC.
President Tatar pointed out that the friendship of Azerbaijan and TRNC will last forever as members of the same nation. “Our friendship from Lefkoşa to Baku will be permanent,” the President added.
President Tatar emphasised that the statement by Aliyev was of great importance and value for Turkish Cypriot people.
