President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan arrives at the TRNC Presidency in Lefkoşa

Republic of Türkiye President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is paying his first visit abroad to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus following his re-election and has arrived at the Presidency in Lefkoşa at about 2pm
A welcoming military ceremony was held which started with the playing of the National Anthem following the arrival of President Erdoğan at the Presidential Palace in Lefkoşa.
The two Presidents are currently holding a meeting.
President Erdoğan had first visited the Atatürk Monument in Lefkoşa where he laid a wreath and signed the Book of Honour.
President Erdoğan is accompanied by First Lady Emine Erdoğan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of Economy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister of National Defence Yaşar Güler, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Presidency’s Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun, Head of the National Intelligence Organisation (MIT) Head İbrahim Kalın, Presidency’s Defence Industries Head Haluk Görgün and Justice and Development Party (AKP) Spokesperson Ömer Çelik.
