President Tatar and First Lady Sibel Tatar visit Lefkoşa Special Education and Vocational Education Center


President Ersin Tatar and First Lady Sibel Tatar visited the Lefkoşa Special Education and Vocational Education Centre and commemorated World Autism Awareness Day, met with students and educators and watched the students' workshops.


Pointing out that the relevant legal regulations that will increase awareness in autism should be addressed in Parliament and enacted as soon as possible, President Tatar said that they will continue to give support to meet the social, material and moral needs of autistic individuals.


Expressing that with conscious education, social sensitivity and support of the state, the educational development of our autistic children continues in a normal manner. President Tatar thanked all the families and educators for their efforts.

Stating that in the event of a possible drawback in the education and training of our children at the Lefkoşa Special Education and Vocational Education Centre, the respective organisations of the TRNC will intervene and will continue to put forward the act of solidarity when necessary.


The President added that all necessary sensitivity will be shown by all the appropriate TRNC institutions and organisations for the integration of our children with autism into society and thanked everyone who are devoted and who work tirelessly.
