President Tatar meets with the British High Commissioner and British Foreign Office Senior Official
President Ersin Tatar met with the British High Commissioner Stephen Lillie and British Foreign Affairs Senior Official Ajay Sharma at a working dinner last night.
Bilateral relations with the UK and the five-plus-UN informal meeting planned to be held in the coming months was also discussed at the meeting.
President Tatar shared the position of the Turkish Cypriot side which took into consideration the "realities in our island and the region". President Tatar shared his vision for a fair, realistic and sustainable reconciliation in Cyprus that can only be possible with a relationship based on cooperation, on the basis of the sovereign equality and international equal status of the two States on the island.
President Tatar was accompanied by his Special Representative Ergün M. Olgun, Deputy and Negotiating Committee member Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu and Senior Political Affairs Officer Ayşe Balcıoğlu.
