President Tatar meets with the Statistical Institute on the second anniversary of their establishment
President of TRNC Statistical Institute Dr. Türel Özer Öksüzoğlu informed President Tatar about the activities of the institution and presented the book containing the 2021-2025 Official Statistics Programme.
President Tatar pointed out the importance of statistics in the distribution of resources, forecasts and projection studies and said that it is important to ensure that the right people are placed and educated in the right institutions so that our state can be in safe hands in the future.
Referring to the world economy, President Tatar stated that annual plans on how to manage resources are made on the basis of evaluations and determinations based on statistics and data. The President also emphasised the importance of the numerical distribution of resources and taking into account the environment we live in.
Noting that although there are occasional self-criticisms, the environmental and natural conditions of our island, with its green, blue and its richness, are positive and open to development, President Tatar said that he thinks our welfare level is quite high. Stating that a good future can be prepared for future generations by determining the economy and development in a planned manner, President Tatar thanked the officials of the institution for their visit.
