President Tatar’s message on environmental awareness: "Transition to renewable energy is an important step"

President Ersin Tatar visited Necat British College Lefkoşa within the framework of the school visits he launched.

President Ersin Tatar, who got together with students at the school, was accompanied by Cengiz Topel Uzun, Director of the General Secondary Education Department of the Ministry of National Education.

Addressing to the students, President Tatar said he is proud to see NBC, an international school in Lefkoşa, providing an excellent education. He congratulated the founder of the school, Nejat family and those who put their efforts into education.

President Ersin Tatar advised the students to put their talents to good use for their personal development and to give importance to their studies and social activities.

Underlining the notions of friendship, respect and self-confidence, President Tatar noted that education will continue after school, and he touched upon life-long education and pointed out that it is very important to follow the developments in technology today.

Renewable energy emphasis from President Tatar

Explaining that young people should have access to information and be able to make their own evaluations, President Tatar said the world is facing major problems due to global warming and that it is necessary to give importance to protecting the environment, and pointed out that switching to renewable energy instead of fossil fuel could be an important step in terms of protecting the environment.

President Tatar answers the questions of the students

Referring to the struggle of the Turkish Cypriot people for their independence for years, President Tatar also touched upon the projects carried out for the development of the TRNC. Upon the questions asked by the youth, the President also shared his views on the improvement of fire areas in the country, the efforts for the recognition of the TRNC, the contribution of his university education to his career, and the benefits of the new satellite sent by the Republic of Türkiye into orbit for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
