Special Representative of the President, Güneş Onar holds meeting with María Angela Holguín Cuéllar, Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary-General
Güneş Onar, Special Representative of the President, has met with María Angela Holguín Cuéllar, Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary-General. A tête-à-tête meeting was held between Mr. Onar and Ms. Holguin that was followed by a meeting between the delegations, where discussions were held on the six cooperation initiatives agreed between the sides at the informal meeting on Cyprus in a broader format in Geneva in March 2025, and the next informal meeting that is planned to be held at the end of July, as well as the political conjuncture on the Island in light of recent developments.
Sülen Karabacak, Advisor on Legal Affairs, Confidence Building Measures and Bilateral Technical Committees Coordinator Seniha Birand Çınar and members of the Negotiation Team, Özlem İnce and Kerem Haser, also participated in the meeting.
