Statement by President Ersin Tatar
Although progress is being made in the control of the pandemic day-by-day with all the measures taken against the Covid-19 pandemic in the world, the loss of lives of two of our citizens has deeply saddened us. God rest their souls. I send my condolences to their grieving families and loved ones.
As the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, I underline the importance of strictly complying with the measures by our citizens in order to continue the success we have shown so far, I would like to remind you that until the vaccination is completed within the framework of the national vaccination program, it is important for the health of the country that our citizens, including those, who were vaccinated, show sensitivity on this matter. I sincerely believe that we will be successful against this pandemic with the great efforts of our healthcare professionals and the understanding and sacrifice shown by our people.
